Introduction of Low Flatbed Semi-trailers
Ⅰ. What is low flatbed semi-trailer used for?
Low flatbed semi-trailers are usually used to transport heavy vehicles (such as tractors, buses, special vehicles), railway vehicles, mining machinery, forestry machinery, construction machinery (such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, paving machines, cranes) and other heavy cargo. The lower the center of gravity, the better the stability and safety, and the stronger the ability to transport ultra-high cargo and pass overhead obstacles. In general, the low flatbed semi-trailer has a concave beam type (or well type) frame. The front part of the frame is a gooseneck (the traction pin of the front part of the gooseneck is connected with the traction saddle on the tractor, and the rear end of the gooseneck is connected with the semi-trailer frame), the middle part is the cargo platform (the low part of the frame), and the rear end is the wheel frame (including wheels).

In general, the mechanical equipment is loaded from the rear end of the low flatbed semi-trailer. To be specific, the mechanical equipment is moved from the rear wheel frame or the wheels are removed, and then the mechanical equipment is fixed on the semi-trailer.
1. The low flatbed semi-trailers have a flatbed type, concave beam type and tire exposed type of structures. The longitudinal beam has a straight or gooseneck type. The frame is stepped, and the cross-section of the longitudinal beam is I-shaped, which has the characteristics of high rigidity and high strength.
2. The main plane of the frame and cargo platform is low, which ensures the stability of transportation. And it is suitable for carrying all types of construction machinery, large equipment and steel materials, etc.
3. It has three-axis balanced, two-axis balanced or rigid suspension. There is a mass balance block installed between its front and rear leaf springs. It can change the deflection of the front and rear leaf springs by the same amount, and balance the forces on the front and rear axles and so on.
4. The low flatbed semi-trailer is suitable for the transportation of a variety of mechanical equipment, large objects, road construction equipment, large tanks, power station equipment and steel transportation. It is convenient to use with a wide range of applications. The whole trailer uses advanced computer-aided design software, which is flexible and diverse for optimized design.
