Whether to Change MSC Brake Lining is Determined by These Details

Braking system is a patron saint of daily driving. If it breaks down, it's easy to have traffic accident in driving. Thus, how to check the MSC brake lining in our daily life? Under normal driving conditions, the service life of front MSC brake lining is usually between 2W and 4W km while the back one ranges from 6W to 10W km. So, it is suggested that the front MSC brake lining should be inspected every thirty thousand kilometers and the back one should be inspected every sixty thousand kilometers. Let's tell you how to judge whether should replace the MSC brake lining through the self-examination.

1. Observation

A new brake pad is generally with the thickness of 10mm. When the thickness of the msc brake lining is only about 1/3 of the original thickness (about 3mm) when observed by naked eyes, the car owner has to increase inspection frequency and be ready for replacement. Usually msc brake lining with less than 1mm thickness are supposed to be changed immediately. On both sides of each msc brake lining is a mark with the thickness of 2-3mm. This is also the thinnest for brake flange to be taken place. If the thickness of the msc brake lining becomes equal to the mark, please change it at once.

2. Listening

If there is hissing sound while tapping the brakes, the msc brake lining is advised to be replaced immediately. Because the limiting mark on both sides of the msc brake lining has directly rubbed the hull, that is, the msc brake lining has been beyond the limit. In this case, please check the brake flange together with replacing the msc brake lining. The hissing sound signifies the brake flange has been destroyed and can't be eliminated even if the new msc brake lining has been used. It's necessary to change the brake flange when it's severe.

3. Feeling strength

When the msc brake lining becomes thinner, the braking effect will be affected. At this point, the brake pedal needs to be pressed deeper to achieve the braking effect by the original light pedal. The braking effect in the first half of the journey is obviously weakened. If you feel that your brakes are soft and can't stop, check whether the msc brake lining need to be replaced.
