Common Problems and Solutions of Back-turned-over Dump Semi Trailer

Dump semi trailers are suitable for the transportation of bulk cargo such as coal, ore, and building materials.

Ⅰ. Dump semi trailers can be divided into two categories according to their purpose

The first category is heavy and super heavy dump semi trailers for off-road transportation. They are mainly used for transportation tasks such as large-scale mines and engineering. They are usually used in conjunction with excavators.

The other category is light, medium, and the ordinary semi dump truck for road transportation, mainly responsible for the transportation of loose goods such as sand, soil, and coal, and is usually used in conjunction with loaders.

Ⅱ. Common problems and solutions of container back-turned-over dump semi trailers

1. Why is the carriage lowered when the lift switch on the dashboard is pressed, and the carriage lifts when the lowering switch on the dashboard is pressed?

Answer: This is caused by the reverse connection of the solenoid valve that controls the lifting and lowering. There are three ways to exclude:

① Swap the wires of the lifting and lowering switches on the dashboard;

② Swap the wires of the solenoid valve that controls the lifting and lowering;

③ Swap the two air pipes of the distribution valve.

2. Does the dump semi trailer not lift?

Answer: If the semi dump trailer does not lift, the following semi trailer parts should be checked.

(1) Check the power take-off

First check whether the drive shaft connected to the oil pump rotates. If it does not rotate, it means that there is a problem with the power take-off (the solenoid valve of the power take-off or the power take-off itself has a problem); if it rotates, it means that the power take-off is OK. Investigate further down.

(2) Check the oil pump

① Whether the rotation direction of the oil pump is correct. Extend your left hand, with your thumb facing the oil pump spline, and the rotation direction of the other fingers is the same, it is a left-handed pump, otherwise it is a right-handed pump.

② Whether the oil pump is damaged. The wear of the oil pump will cause the high and low pressure chambers of the oil pump to connect and fail to pump oil.

(3) Check the distribution valve

① Whether there is air in the air pipe on the distribution valve. Press the lift and lower switches, and check whether the two air pipes on the distribution valve have air. If there is no gas, it means that the solenoid valve that controls the lifting and lowering is faulty, and the solenoid valve should be replaced.

② Whether the distribution valve is damaged.

3. Is the lifting speed of the carriage of dump semi trailer adjustable, and is it a malfunction if the automatic falling is relatively fast?

Answer: The lifting speed is not adjustable. Falling too fast is a malfunction.

4. What are the important hydraulic components in the hydraulic lifting system of the dump semi trailer, and what role does each play?

Answer: Oil pump - oil supply; one-way valve--- control the flow of oil; distribution valve (rotary valve) - control the lifting and lowering of the carriage; oil cylinder - generating thrust.

5. How to solve the climbing problem during the lifting process of the dump semi truck?

Answer: Sometimes during the lifting process of the trailer, there will be a climbing phenomenon. This phenomenon is mostly caused by the air intake in the hydraulic system and the oil cylinder is full of oil and gas mixture.

6. Why does the gear pump of the dump semi trailer have the phenomenon of "gear collision" ? How to eliminate it?

Answer: Sometimes when the power take-off takes off the power, the gear pump makes a rapid "click, click..." sound, which is mostly caused by insufficient oil intake of the oil pump.

This phenomenon occurs in the new trailer, which may be caused by the oil pump inlet pipe being too thin or the oil inlet pipe being deflated. The oil inlet pipe should be thickened, and the oil inlet pipe with high strength and hardness (with steel wire in the oil pipe) should be used; when the dump semi truck has been used for a period of time, then the oil inlet pipe is aging and collapsed, or the filter screen of the oil outlet of the oil storage tank is blocked, causing the oil inlet to be blocked; if all the possibilities have been eliminated, the oil pump can only be damaged and the oil pump should be replaced in time.
